Candace Mallette
Owner & Lead Designer
Candace is the creative force behind our flourishing garden design business. With a certificate in “Creating Landscapes” from Guelph University and extensive horticultural training, Candace expertly combines creativity, practicality, and deep plant knowledge to design outdoor spaces perfect for Ottawa’s unique climate. Celebrated in publications like House & Home, Garden Design Magazine, and the Ottawa Citizen, Candace is passionate about creating gardens tailored for families—including kids and pets—to grow and thrive.
Rebecca
Garden Designer & Horticultural Technician
Rebecca has been with our team since 2020 and is a talented garden designer and horticulture technician with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Ottawa. With extensive plant knowledge developed through years of garden center experience and specialized horticulture courses, she excels at creating vibrant, dynamic outdoor spaces. Outside of her work, Rebecca enjoys the outdoors with her beloved dog, Roddy.
Olympia
Garden Designer
Olympia has been with Candace Mallette Garden Design since 2022. She brings her exceptional eye for detail and deep love of gardening to every project. Currently studying Landscape Design through Guelph University, she blends formal education with natural talent. Olympia’s background as a veterinary technician and dance instructor highlights her versatility and strong interpersonal skills. Her enthusiasm for nature, pets, and plants translates into gardens that are both inspiring and delightfully functional.
Johanna
Garden Designer
Johanna is a seasoned garden designer with over a decade of experience creating stunning residential and commercial landscapes. She holds a Diploma in Horticulture and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Geography, skillfully combining technical expertise and environmental sensitivity. Fluent in both English and French, Johanna connects deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring every project reflects their unique vision and lifestyle.
